Press release from the City of Boca Raton: April 27, 2022 Loading In partnership with the Florida Section American Water Works Association (FSAWWA), the City participated in the annual Drop Savers Contest. The poster contest received over 600 entries from all Boca Raton schools, both public and private, grades K-5. Each participant had to submit an entry on a letter-sized poster. The poster had to show a slogan, drawing, or combination of the two with a water conservation theme. The posters were judged on the water conservation message, creativity, and originality, not just artistic ability. The three winners are entered in the statewide poster competition, and we are awaiting those results. The winners of the contest are: Division 1: Kinley Monk, 1st Grade, St. Joan of Arc Division 2: Siena Sarkozy, 3rd grade, St. Joan of Arc Division 3: Gabriela Dow, 5th grade, A.D. Henderson University School Winners and their families were invited up to take pictures with Mayor Scott Singer, describe their posters and receive prizes (see pictures and the posters created below).
