Who we’re looking for: We seek a Construction Field Associate with a deep commitment to building sustainable and resilient homes and communities. You will succeed in this position if you can bring attention to detail, an open mind, curiosity, and an ambition to grow and learn from others personally and professionally. What you bring to the table: - A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for frequent travel between job sites during the day - Ability to adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities routinely - Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds - Basic carpentry skills preferred - Demonstrated proficiency in using mobile devices to perform work in the field - Positive attitude and work ethic - Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team - Good interpersonal skills and communication with all team members Great to have: - Spanish Fluency Primary Responsibilities: - Responsible for driving the company truck to project job sites to collect construction waste and transfer to the recycling center - Responsible for compiling construction materials lists, collecting materials and delivery to the project site - Inspects material to ensure it has been loaded correctly and is secure, and reviews shipping documents to verify all information is accurate - Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, water, and all fluids and performs pre and post trip inspections - Responsible for the condition of the company vehicle. Keeps truck clean and in good working order. Responsible for maintenance schedule. - May complete additional assigned labor tasks by site supervisor or project manager, including light-hand excavation such as digging, moving dirt or compacting space, and clean-up tasks - Safely operate any construction and maintenance hand tools and equipment to complete daily tasks - Ensures construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly after use - Follows all health and safety regulations when operating equipment Position and hours: - This is a non-exempt, full time position, working primarily outdoors on job sites throughout Seattle, with some time spent in our office or warehouse. - This position involves frequent and repetitive movement, moving materials up to 50 pounds. - Only applicants who are authorized to work in the United States will be considered Compensation and benefits: - Hourly rate between $20-24 - Starting annual PTO of 120 hours per year - Monthly Technology stipend of $50 - Monthly Wellness stipend of $25 - 100% employer-paid health coverage for medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance for employees - Company-sponsored Employee Assistance Program - Company 401(k) plan - Employee Stock Options - Company-paid parental leave for new parents - Leadership development and training for all employees Next steps: To help us get to know you better, please apply with the following information here: - A copy of your resume - Answering the yes/no questions listed on the application We want to connect with candidates who are excited about and want to be a part of the work we are doing at Green Canopy NODE.
