Learn basic preservation techniques to care for cemetery monuments. Join us for our inaugural Cemetery Preservation Workshop! Join our special guests instructors Jon Appell of Atlas Preservation and Moss Rudley of the National Park Service’s Historic Preservation Training Center to learn basic preservation techniques to care for cemetery monuments. These tasks may include cleaning the site, maintaining landscaping, cleaning markers, and resetting and repairing gravestones. Please note that this workshop will require participants to stand or crouch while completing the preservation work in outside weather--come prepared! 9:00 am – 12:30 pm Session 1: Monument Cleaning Basics 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm Lunch : Bring your own lunch, snacks, and water 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm Session 2: Additional Cemetery Preservation Techniques
