Driver Takes Off After Crashing Into Weymouth Home: Police

WEYMOUTH, MA — Police say they plan to file charges against a driver who they say took off after crashing a Jeep into a Weymouth home early Wednesday morning. Officers were called just after 1 a.m. for a report of a car into a home at 455 Bridge Street. They say the driver fled the scene but was found a short time later. The driver - whose name has not yet been released, was taken to a local hospital for an evaluation and no one inside the home was hurt. A building inspector was called to the scene and an investigation is currently under review. No additional information was immediately available.
