April 26th 3:15PM Update: The Shrewsbury DPW has isolated the hydrant that was struck by a contractor working in the area of 36 North Quinsigamond Avenue and completed sweeping of the roadway. Due to the accident, there may be discolored water in the area. The general area that could have discolored water includes Olympia Avenue, Miles Avenue, Cottage Avenue, Dewey Road.
If you experience discolored water, please discontinue using water for a period of time (up to an hour) and then try the water again. While discolored water is present, please refrain from using hot water and flush your cold water using a downstairs bathtub.
