Reading Remains Moderate Risk With 78 New Cases

READING, MA — Reading added 78 coronavirus cases over the last two weeks, bringing it to over 400 confirmed cases, according to town-by-town data released by the state. But the town remained in the moderate-risk category, averaging 20.1 daily cases per 100,000 residents, with a test rate of 2.65 percent. That's up from 13.4 average daily cases and a test rate of 1.97 percent last week. More than three-quarters of the state's cities and towns reported rising positive test rates. The statewide positive test rate rose to 3.2 percent, the highest level since early June.
