Description
HERNDON, VA — If the singing birds and flowering trees aren't already enough of a signal that spring has arrived, how about the opening Thursday of the Herndon Farmers Market for the 2022 season? Will that be enough to shake off your winter blues?
This year's farmers market will be open 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m., on Thursdays, through Nov. 3, in the 700 block of Lynn St. in Old Town Herndon. Look for the Red Caboose and you'll see it.
The Herndon Farmers Market will follow the Fairfax County Park Authority guidelines for COVID-19. Customers will not be required to wear a mask, but they are asked to respect others and stay at home if they are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms.
For the first time, visitors to the market are encouraged to bring their food scrapes so that they can be composted as part of a program operated by Veteran Compost.
