Spend a day learning the basics wood carving from a master teacher and carver. Learn the basics of woodcarving through step-by-step, hands on instruction. The first half of the class will be spent on tools, safety, wood selection, and basic techniques. After the lunch break students will select their own project to work on under instructor guidance using skills they learned in the first half. Knives, palm tools and mallet tools will be discussed. All tools and materials are provided. Tools and additional projects available for purchase as well. Date: May 14th 9am-3pm with break for lunch. Cost: $40 member, $50 non member (Pay $10 now to reserve your spot, the rest can be paid via card, cash or check on the day of the class) Materials: Everything is provided - additional projects and tools are available for purchase.
