Description
FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Arbor Day Foundation recently named Freehold township a "Tree City USA" in recognition of its commitment to effective urban forest management.
This is the township's 40th year participating in the program.
Freehold received the recognition through meeting the program's four requirements — a tree board or department, a tree care ordinance, an annual community forestry budget of at least $2 per capita and an Arbor Day observance and proclamation.
