COLLINGSWOOD, NJ — Collingswood's Green Day offers something for everyone, regardless of their age or skill set in knowing how to be environmentally friendly, the borough said on its website. For example, the borough will be collecting no-longer-wanted electronics and latex paints, with the latter potentially being used to beautify Collingswood. There is also a paper-shredding event, according to the website. In addition, participants can pick up pollinator kits from Wild Roots, plants from the borough's community garden and Collingswood High School's Greenhouse Plant Sale, the website said. If you're wanting to grow something a bit taller or a bit bigger, there will also be trees and shrubs available at discounted prices, and a limited number of free tree saplings will also be handed out, according to the website. All the festivities run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at rear lot of Zane School with the exception of the paper-shredding event, the website said. That event only runs until noon, according to the website. Get more local news delivered straight to your inbox. Sign up for free Patch newsletters and alerts.
