About Caidy Caidy is a licensed professional specializing in Formal Up Styling, Intricate Braiding, Bellami Hair Extensions and Makeup Artistry, while also providing education within The Caidy Create Courses, both in person and digitally. Upon completing cosmetology training at Paul Mitchell the School Great Lakes in Michigan, Caidy then opened the doors to her downtown Utica MI salon, Caidy Marie Beauty, where she has a full team of talented artists providing luxury services aside her. While being behind the chair at her Michigan salon, Caidy is a hair artist for New York Fashion Week, Miami Swim Week, the Miss Michigan Pageant, and travels throughout the entire state of Michigan, as well as out of the state and country, for wedding day beauty and editorial photo shoots. Furthermore, after years of experience within the beauty industry Caidy developed a desire and passion to help others elevate their own techniques, skill set and craft as a whole, which inspired her to launch The Caidy Create Courses. In providing this education, Caidy showcases all elements on how to create some of her signature Formal Up Styles and Intricate Braiding hair designs, as well as a full breakdown on what’s in her kit, must have consultation questions, proper product use and, how to take the most captivating photos for marketing. Additionally throughout the duration of Caidy’s 12 years as a licensed cosmetologist, she has received several honors and recognitions for her work. Most recently in 2021, Caidy became the Intricate Braiding awardee for the Behind the Chair One Shot Hair Awards, the largest global hair competition between 80 countries and over 350,000 entries. Caidy has also placed as a Top 10 finalist for Best Updo for both the Cosmoprof LTC Awards and Beauty Envision Awards, was the awardee of the Braids and Brides contest for Modern Salon, as well as a Top 100 Artist for Modern Salon, voted by real brides The Knot Best of Weddings for Hair and Makeup 8 years in a row and, is part of The Knot Hall of Fame. Caidy’s work has also been published in multiple prints including Modern Salon, The Knot, StyleLine Magazine, Brides and Weddings, Hour Magazine, Wedding Chicks, Modern Salon Magazine and The White Wren.
