GREAT NECK, NY — A Great Neck investment group has taken over a Pennsylvania mall and is looking into several opportunities to revitalize it, such as adding a call center or entertainment space, according to a report. Kohan Retail Investment Group assumed ownership of the Clearview Mall in Butler on Thursday, the Butler Eagle reported. The mall is more than 762,000 square feet. "We're glad to be part of the community and will try to do whatever we can to help the community and the mall," Mike Kohan, a principal partner with investment group, told the newspaper. The firm wrote on its website that it sees "the future of aging malls as a community setting where entertainment, shopping, and food come together." "The Kohan Retail Investment Group (KRIG) sees the future of aging malls as a place for more than just shopping," the website said. "They are social settings where people interact with one another and small businesses can get a boost in a public and well-trafficked platform. Everyone has a need to build friendships and seek a community setting where entertainment, shopping, and food come together."
