Enjoy a variety of work from College of DuPage students during the "Student Art and Design Showcase: Across all Mediums," from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 19, in the McAninch Arts Center on COD's Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd The free event is sponsored by the MAC in partnership with the College's Art and Design Departments. Following the open house, an awards presentation will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the MAC's Belushi Performance Hall. The festival-like open house features a student art show in the MAC's Cleve Carney Museum of Art. More than 80 students in the College's Graphic Design and Photography programs will present highlights of their portfolios in the MAC Lobby. Visitors also will enjoy music from the COD Jazz Ensemble. Fashion Design students will model their favorite creations with additional designs on display in the MAC's Studio Theatre. Actors from the College's Theatre Department will present improv performances and students from COD's Architecture program also will display their work. Throughout the event, highlight videos by the Animation, Motion Picture and Television programs will be running in the MAC's Fishbowl space. A cash bar and free popcorn will be available.
