LOS ANGELES, CA — A fiery crash involving a Big Rig loaded with 21,000 pounds of fish caused havoc on the Golden State (5) Freeway Monday morning. The crash happened just before 1 a.m. south of the Arroyo Seco (110) Parkway in the Lincoln Heights area of Los Angeles, according to the California Highway Patrol. According to witnesses, the big rig hit a blue low-rider causing it to blow a tire, spin out and hit the center divider. Both vehicles caught fire following the impact. The crash shut down the northbound three left lanes for more than three hours, triggering a SigAlert that lasted until 3:40 a.m. Monday, according to the CHP. CHP Officer Patrick Kimball said witnesse did not know if anyone was inside the burning vehicles when officers arrived. He said there were not believed to be any fatalities.
