ROSEVILLE, MI — A Roseville Middle School student was struck by a car while walking to school Tuesday morning in Roseville, police said. The 12-year-old girl was taken to Ascension St. John Hospital, where she remained Wednesday morning with severe injuries
The 21-year-old Detroit driver immediately stopped and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
The man hit the student at 7:20 a.m. in the area of Martin Road and Barkman Street, police said. Witnesses told police they believed the vehicle was not speeding on Martin Road, and police ruled out alcohol as a contributing factor in the crash, officials said.
Police were still investigating the cause of the crash.
