WHITE PLAINS, NY — A White Plains resident will be going to prison for stabbing a man in the chest during a robbery in 2020. Westchester County District Attorney Miriam Rocah said Prince Rogers, 51, was sentenced Friday to 12 years in state prison, with five years of post-release supervision. A jury convicted Rogers of first-degree robbery, two counts of second-degree assault, fourth-degree grand larceny and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, all felonies. Prosecutors said, around 10:30 p.m. Nov. 18, 2020, Rogers and the victim were sitting in the victim's car on Tarrytown Road in Greenburgh when Rogers stabbed him in the chest with a knife.Rogers forcibly stole the man's money, cell phone and car and fled from the scene. The victim was taken to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, where he was treated for his injuries. Greenburgh police arrested Rogers at his home following an investigation, with the assistance of the White Plains Police Department and the FBI's Westchester Safe Streets Task Force.
