UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Summer fun is coming to the Upper West Side.
The Riverside Park Conservancy just released its calendar of spring and summer events along the Hudson River.
There are over 250 free public events presented in partnership with New York City Parks that will take place from 59th to 181st streets.
Fan favorites such as the Silent Disco in Riverside Park South and Friday night concerts at West Harlem piers.
Another particularly popular summer programming event is the outdoor movie series Pier I Picture Show, which will run from July 6 to August 17. Pier I is located at West 70th Street within the park.
It also has a concession stand where you can order lunch, dinner, and drinks.
The events kick off this weekend with a Riverside Park monuments tour starting at West 72nd Street and Riverside Drive and a Tai Chi class at the Soldiers' And Sailors' Monument also on the Upper West Side.
The free summer events will include festivals, educational workshops, live music, movies, health and wellness, and family-friendly activities.
