'Stuff-A-Truck' Event Coming To Smithtown To Support LI Cares

SMITHTOWN, NY — The "Stuff-A-Truck" event is coming to Smithtown, the Town of Smithtown Youth Bureau announced. The food drive is set to benefit the Long Island Cares Harry Chapin Food Bank. It is slated to run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 1 at the Smithtown Town Hall, at 99 W. Main St., Smithtown. Here is a list of the most needed items: Rice; olive oil (no glass jars); cereal; oatmeal; canned fruit (no sugar/low sugar); tomato sauce (no glass jars); canned meat, poultry, ham, and fish; peanut butter; jelly, jam, and spreadable fruit; canned vegetables; l0w-fat, boxed, and non-refrigerated milk; tissues; toilet paper; canned meals.
