Sgt. Suzanne Spencer and Deputy Jeramy Burleson were both recipients of the Life Saving Award, while Deputy Andy McGee received the Merit Award.
Sheriff Ron Abernathy honored Spencer for performing lifesaving procedures on an unresponsive subject while on a medical call, with Spencer praised for her focus and quick actions saving a life.
TCSO says Burleson responded to a suspicious call, where discovered two unresponsive subjects.
He was also honored for his quick response in saving the lives of the two individuals by initiating medical care and assisting paramedics that later arrived on scene.
McGee was presented the Merit Award for responding to a medical call for a patient in active labor, where he made an assessment on the patient and assisted her into the ambulance. He assisted in the delivery of the baby just as the ambulance arrived at the hospital.
Still, he good deeds weren't finished
Less than a week later, TCSO says McGee intercepted a vehicle on its way to the hospital with another patient in active labor. McGee also helped deliver that baby on its way to the hospital, which resulted in even more praise for the work of the deputy.
