GREAT NECK, NY — A Great Neck woman was among eight people arrested and accused of rioting after police said she was part of a group who broke store windows last week during demonstrations in New York City. Adi Sragovilh, 20, of Great Neck, was swept up by police and accused of rioting during demonstrations Friday, Sept. 4, in Manhattan. Sragovilh was charged with rioting, the NYPD confirmed to Patch on Thursday. The large group of protestors was near East 24th Street and Madison Avenue around 8:15 p.m. Friday, police said. They were also near East 22nd Street and Fifth Avenue. Also arrested were: Frank Furhmeister, 30, of Bushwick, Brooklyn: charged with rioting and possessing a graffiti instrument.Claire Severine, 27 of Washington Heights, Manhattan: charged with rioting.Etkar Surette, 27, of Flatbush, Brooklyn: charged with rioting and possessing a graffiti instrument.Jane Buffo, 19, of Lower Manhattan: charged with rioting.Elliot Rucka, 20, of Portland, Oregon: charged with rioting.Jade O'Halloran, 30, of Crown Heights, Brooklyn: charged with rioting and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. Clara Kraebber, 20, of Upper East Side, Manhattan: charged with rioting and possession of graffiti. Vandalism Friday lasted three hours and spanned more than 2 miles from Foley Square up to 24th Street, the New York Post reported. Video obtained by the Post showed one masked person dressed in all black smash out the windows of a Starbucks during the protest. Six other businesses below West 22nd Street also had windows smashed, the Post reported. Three more were vandalized. On Friday, September 4th, these individuals were arrested for rioting during demonstrations in Manhattan. They were part of a large group breaking storefront windows.
