Hello, Like to clean? We have a live/work opportunity that is just right for someone who is looking to live in beautiful West Marin. If you dream of living in a country setting rent-free and are flexibly available to clean rooms 3 or 4 days a week for just a few hours a day (after guests check-out), then this could be a perfect fit! Start date flexible. We are looking for just one person to live here. Need someone who is good at detailed cleaning and enjoys cleaning. We have a full-time cleaner already and we just need someone to pitch in on heavy cleaning days, help with a few daily chores and then also work on her day off. It ends up being $200-$250/week for 12-16 hours of work per week) As this is far from being a full-time job, it would be most ideal for someone who has another side-income, at-home job, retirement money, etc. Perfect for someone who works nights as we always finish our day here by 3:30. As for the living accommodations we have a sweet little (approx 500 s.f.) furnished and equipped innkeepers quarters in the main house. See photos. Full kitchen and bath and a quiet upstairs bedroom with comfy queen bed. No guests ever come inside your living area. Lots of storage for bikes, etc. Fast WiFi, great heat, laundry room and parking on site. All utilities are included. This is an ideal situation for someone who really wants to live in Point Reyes and spend time enjoying the area. Looking for one super quiet person, pet-less, and one who enjoys solitude as the space is not conducive to entertaining. Probably the biggest challenge for finding the right person is this: It is important, for the comfort of our quests, to be very quiet while inside the main house as guests are on the other sides of the walls. So…this not for everyone and again, one person only. The ideal person for this has always been someone who has some home-based income and can live anywhere so long as there is good internet. That seems the best fit unless you have another part-time gig or income stream all figured out. We really want to avoid having anyone who may suffer financially by being here because, really, it is just basically grocery money plus a free place to live. So it’s really for someone who very much wants to live in Point Reyes and has the means or a solid a plan. We hope to find someone who wishes to stay at least 3 months, as it takes time to get into the groove here. 6 months seems most ideal but we are flexible. We are remotely located and with very limited public transit so it is challenging to explore the area and get where you need to without a car. Although only 1 hour from San Francisco, this is a really small town vibe --except of course for the 2 million visitors a year that come for the National Park!
