Certified Testing Labs is an independent materials testing/inspection agency that is seeking a field inspector. The position entails (but is not limited to) soil sampling, compaction testing by the use of a nuclear gauge (troxler), bearing capacity, concrete/masonry field, reinforcing steel inspections, and some lab work. We are seeking an individual that is willing to travel from project site to site utilizing their own vehicle. Some projects can be up to 1.5 hours away. CTL does offer mileage reimbursement. The hiring rate is negotiable for those that possess certifications; however, we are willing to train and certify the right candidate.
Requirements (a must):
-Possess a valid driver's license.
-Provide a dependable vehicle built for construction sites.
-Able to lift up to 75-80 pounds.
-Be subjected to a criminal background check and drug screening.
-Available during the hours of 7:30 AM-5:00 PM, may need to be available for an earlier or later start time, depending on the project's scheduling needs.
-Willing to work some weekends, nights, and/or overtime, if needed. (Not typical, but some jobsites will require it at times)
Requirements (a plus):
-Have an ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I Certification (individual can be trained to take the course, but must pass the course to remain employed, as it is a requirement of ASTM for concrete technicians to be ACI certified).
-Able to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings.
Hired individuals will also be required to eventually pass their OSHA 10-hour and nuclear gauge training courses.
