A new high energy, rock n roll show band is looking for a lead singer. Male or Female, whoever has what we need is who we want. This is a mostly originals band, but with a handful of covers for venues that prefer a cover band. To give you an example of style, the covers for the audition are: (For men) – Any Way You Want It – Journey, Peace of Mind – Boston (For women) – Crazy On You – Heart, Hit Me With Your Best Shot – Pat Benatar (a female singer will eventually be asked to do some covers that were originally sung by a male) There are some originals ready to go, but it’s important for the band to find its own voice, one that reflects the totality of the members. Some rehearsals will be dedicated to just getting together and writing originals, so that all our individual styles can be combined into one unique synergistic sound. Personnel: Lead singer Guitar Keytar synthesizer/Guitar (that’s me) Bass Drums The three tenets of the band are: • Solid musicianship – Our members have got to be able to play well consistently. • Showmanship – Who wants to see a band that stands around like a bunch of carboard cutouts, acting like the audience is just blessed to be in their presence? Not us, we move, we groove, we put on a show! • FUN! – The crowd’s having fun, the band’s having fun, what could be better? What we want: • A front “person” with a bold, but melodious, voice who can work a crowd and be an integral part of the band. What we don’t want: • Someone who’s too much of an “artist”, who takes themselves too seriously - too cool for school! No devas!
