WEST HAVEN, CT — Officials are warning residents of a telephone scam that is making its way around the city. Officials said they have been notified that residents are receiving phone calls with a recorded message and a caller ID displaying "West Haven City." "These calls do not originate from City Hall," officials wrote in a post on Facebook. "Please do not respond in any way or share any personal information with the caller. The City of West Haven would only contact you with a recorded message in the event of an emergency and would not ask you for any personal information in return. Thank you for your attention to this important matter, and stay safe."
