Description

The NEWBPF's first Annual Dock Party! Live music, cocktails, fireworks & hors d'oeuvres. Welcoming all wooden boat lovers to the New England Wooden Boat Preservation Foundation's first annual dock party. The foundation's mission revolves around educating the public about maritime trades, skills, and culture; preserving and interpreting artifacts of maritime history; and maintaining, operating, and exhibiting historic vessels. We are excited to host you on the pier at Bristol Marine Boothbay Harbor Shipyard, a traditional working shipyard since 1869. The schooner Isaac H. Evans, the oldest surviving oyster fishing schooner will be available for tours as well as serving local oysters on board. The world famous 12 meter classic, Gleam, built by Clinton Crane in 1937 will also be available for deck tours. Cocktails and food will be provided by Mine Oyster of Boothbay Harbor and we'll have live music throughout the evening. Find yourself in the best seat in the house for firework viewing at 9PM over the harbor from the pier. An event you surely won't want to miss!
