Description

Join Wine Educator Reggie Daigneault at Old World Tasting Room in SODO for an exploration and tasting of wines of the Pacific Northwest. Join us at Old World Tasting Room on Wednesday, May 18th 7-9pm, (6:30pm reception) for a fun and informative class on our famous NW wines and growing regions. From Okanagan Valley to Willamette Valley, Red Mountain to Walla Walla, the quality and diversity of wines continues to grow and impress. With nearly 40 years in the wine industry, Wine Educator Reggie Daigneault will cover foundational information on wines of the Pacific NW and take us on an exploration of wines from select and notable regions throughout the region. Participants will explore appellations, wine making and wine styles, dive into local history, grape varieties, geography and geology. Of course there will be wine tasting along the way for all participants over 21! Class fee is $49.00 per person which will include wine tastings and a pre-class reception. Teaching and Learning - My Passion When I first moved to Seattle in 1990 there were 88 wineries and now there are over 1,000 wineries, and so many vineyards and varieties. It can get confusing. That's what I am here for... helping you make sense of it all. I have lived and worked in the wine industry for nearly 40 years in sales, distribution, wine director positions and wine judging, writing, education and events. I love teaching about wine and its history, pairing food and wine, and touring the world with others who enjoy wine, food, culture, history, and travel. I'm certified in the Court of Sommeliers, Wine Scholar Guild, Diploma Wine & Spirit Education Trust, Sherry Specialist and as a Bordeaux Tutor. Let's food and wine together!
