Full Job Description: ProActive Real Estate Services is seeking a Handyman / Maintenance Technician to support move-in and move-outs for apartments and residential homes within its property management business. Typical Repairs & Maintenance and Management Tasks: - Turning over of residential homes and apartments between move-ins and move outs (cleaning, damage assessment, identifying problems, providing repair estimates) - Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.) - Preparing apartments for new tenants so that they are move-in ready - Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed - Quarterbacking relationships with contractors including electricians, plumbers, painters, etc. - Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed - Troubleshooting and basic repairs for the following areas: Plumbing (toilets, sink drains, showers/baths), HVAC (Air filters, drain lines, thermostats), Replacing electrical equipment and fixtures (appliances, lights, fans), Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.) Ideal Candidate: - Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices - General knowledge of maintenance processes and procedures - 2 years of experience working in similar field (preferred) - Self-starter with ability to work independently and with contractors - High sense of urgency - Strong communications skills Compensation: - Minimum of $15 per hour (pay varies by job) Job Requirements - Candidate must have a driver’s license and transportation to/from work About ProActive Real Estate Services ProActive Real Estate Services is a full-service real estate and property management company based.
