Yes, you can finish a painting you will be proud of in three hours. Our students are surprised how much they love their finished projects. $49 All supplies are included for this fun class. Beginner to advanced students welcome. Learn basic acrylic techniques while creating your own botanical work on a 16 by 20 inch canvas. Ready to hang as is, or just the right size to pop into a frame. Choose your own color combinations or stick to the sample. It's up to you. An experienced art teacher and team, spacious studio, and limited class size help to provide a creative and supportive environment to explore your own artistic style. A few techniques explored include, transferring a design with graphite paper, layering colors to create depth, practicing one-stroke petals, keeping colors fresh, adding personality with a palette knife and especially, relaxing and finding your own chrysanthemum style. Light, sweet and savory snacks, plus coffee, tea and water will be served. We are a recovery community and a substance-free campus. No drawing or other art experience is necessary. We use trace-able transfers and transfer paper. Stress free! The studio is located in the lower level of the Sanctuary Church and is not wheelchair accessible.
