Description

Have you or a loved one faced deportation? A team of CUNY and Rutgers University researchers are conducting a study examining immigration law, criminal justice policy, policing, and deportation in New York City. In pursuit of a more just system, the research team is looking to confidentially document the experiences of immigrants or the family members of immigrants who have faced removal from the US by way of criminal and immigration court. Participants partake in anonymized interviews with the research team on their experiences with the criminal justice and immigration system. *All identifying information will be kept strictly confidential.* Participants are paid $40 for their time. Interviews are about an hour long. They can be conducted in English or Spanish, in person or by phone. Research will be used to advocate for a more equitable criminal justice and immigration system.
