Novelist Elaine Hsieh Chou will read from her hilarious, tender, and vibrant debut novel, Disorientiation.
This event is presented by the Asian American Writers' Workshop and The Amelia Hudson.
Disorientation, which was named a "Most Anticipated" book by outlets including Good Housekeeping, Nylon, Buzzfeed, and Bustle, explores Asian American identity and anger, and the joys and pitfalls of academia in a vital and insightful book.
Following her reading, Elaine will be joined in conversation by Lily Philpott, Programs Manager at the Asian American Writers' Workshop, to discuss her novel, navigating the writing world, and writing humorously in a world that often feels post-apocalyptic.
