Girls & families will get to experience a variety of science activities. All activities will revolve around STEM & be hands-on (bilingual). Girl Scout Science Days - Curious, Creative, and Confident is a bilingual family event specific for older girls' engagement. All girl scout levels are encouraged to attend and participate. Science Days is a series starting on April 12, 19, 26, and May 3rd. Participants will receive a Fun patch. Science is fun! When it comes to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields, women make up less than a quarter of the workforce. And considering roughly 80 percent of mid-level jobs—including jobs that don’t require a college degree—involve STEM skills, we need to catch girls up quickly. At Girl Scouts, we believe girls should be encouraged to try their hand at STEM skills, get comfortable with those concepts, and learn how they apply to all kinds of surprising fields—from fashion to finance.
