In-Person Food preservation class includes hands on learning, hand outs, samples to take home, and recipes taught by county extension agents Come join South Plains Family and Community Health -County Extension agents for an in-person, hands on learning class on food preservation. Class will including learning about water bath and pressure canning. You will make a salsa and learn water bath canning. You will then also pressure can carrots. Class will include lots of handouts, recipes, and food safety information for preserving your harvest. Will also include free pressure canner gauge testing if you bring yours.
