Press release from the Port Jefferson School District: April 26, 2022 The Port Jefferson School District held a Superintendent's Conference Day before the holiday break. School administrators were excited to host an inaugural PJ EdCamp, a professional learning model where staff members bring forth topics of interest to them and their colleagues. Rather than the presenter being viewed as the expert in a given area, facilitators simply initiated a conversation to encourage professional discourse. The district is grateful to professional development committee members led by Dr. Michael Caravello and Dr. Robert Neidig for organizing PJ EdCamp, as well as all of the instructional staff who helped create a meaningful, productive day by facilitating a wide variety of topics.
