STAMFORD, CT — Aquarion Water Company announced Monday that a pump station replacement project is scheduled to begin on April 29 in Stamford. The project will take place at the corner of Halliwell Drive and Sycamore Terrace, and is part of an ongoing program to improve Aquarion's water distribution system and to ensure continued system reliability. The infrastructure upgrades will also help to maintain system pressure and fire flow capacity in Stamford. The project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2023, Aquarion said. Normal working hours during construction will be Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The project is not expected to impact local traffic. "We greatly appreciate residents' patience during this project," said Mike Hiltz, Aquarion's Manager of Capital Delivery, Engineering and Planning, in a news release. "We will work closely with our customers, contractors, and city officials to coordinate the work and minimize any disruptions."
