FIRE ISLAND, NY — Long Island is about to hit the big screen. "Fire Island," a romantic comedy about two gay best friends' vacation, released its official trailer on Monday. The film is distributed by Searchlight Pictures, and is set to release on Hulu on June 3. Starring Margaret Cho and Saturday Night Live's Bowen Yang, the story is inspired by Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice," according to its trailer description. The movie was filmed on location in Cherry Grove and Fire Island Pines, the two LGBT resort communities, according to Pride.com.
