STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A Woodbridge man was arrested after a road rage incident in Stafford County on Sunday, the sheriff's office said. Police said that DeLante Davis pointed a firearm at other drivers. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday evening. At that time, deputies in Stafford County responded to the area of U.S. Route 1 and Perchwood Drive. Deputies learned of a road rage incident and located the suspect's vehicle. The deputies then conducted a traffic stop, according to the police report. The deputies identified Davis as the suspect and recovered a firearm from the vehicle, police said. During their investigation, authorities determined that Davis was involved in the road rage incident near Layhill Road. Police said Davis exited his vehicle, pulled a handgun from the trunk, and pointed it at two other drivers. Davis was charged with brandishing a firearm, driving without a license, illegal window tint, and use of marijuana while driving, according to court records. The sheriff's office said the magistrate released Davis on an unsecure bond. His next court date is scheduled for May 3.
