MILFORD, CT — Milford firefighters helped save a man's life after he went into cardiac arrest on the way to the hospital.
Firefighters were called Dec. 27 for a man who complained of chest pain. He went into cardiac arrest while he was being transported to Bridgeport Hospital, according to Milford Professional Firefighters. The medic crew started CPR and other advanced life support measures to keep him alive until he reached the hospital.
The patient and his wife recently dropped off muffins and a letter of appreciation to the crews that worked that day.
