A program hosted by the Literary Department at Mississippi School of the Arts celebrating senior writers and their definitive works. Bios of Featured Senior Literaries: Lillian Denney of Picayune, MS, is an award-winning literary artist. Her awards include but aren’t limited to: Scholastics Writing Awards, Best of Mississippi Awards, and the Justice Art and Poetry Slam. She also enjoys drawing, playing video games, basketball, and archery. She intends to continue her education and writing in college with the intent on working at a video game studio and one day opening a cat café. Diego Mendez of Wesson, MS, focuses on the pursuit of freedom and ecstasy by any means for his characters and himself in his writing. Food and coffee take him to other realms where he dances rather calmly in euphoric fantasies. Still in the process of finding his true self, Diego plans to study business, and something else he hasn’t decided on yet, at the University of Southern Mississippi. His writing has won numerous awards including a Silver Key in the Scholastic Writing Awards Competition for his senior portfolio, Happiness' Swan Song.
