Here is an updated schedule notification for the James Mitchell Art Exhibit at the Latham Chester Store Museum, sponsored by the Noank Historical Society. The exhibit will open to the public on Wednesday 4/27/22 from 2pm to 5pm. There will also be a special public opening on Saturday 4/3022 from 10am to 1:30pm. After 1:30, the Museum will be closed to accommodate a private event. Thereafter, the Exhibit will be open to the public Wednesdays on May 4, 11 and 18 from 2pm to 5pm. It will also be open Saturdays on May 7, 14 and 21 (the last day) from 12pm to 4pm. The exhibit will feature a variety of nautical theme paintings by renowned local artist James Mitchell, who passed away on February 22, 2022. Many of his paintings have been exhibited at the Kennedy Museum in Boston and the Haley & Steele in Boston.
