There will be a $25 entry fee per tournament (which you will see available at purchase of ticket(s). There will be no food or beverages sold but the event is BYO (food & beverage of choice) but PLEASE monitor yourself as JSO/Security will be onsite. LEAVE THE DRAMA AT HOME! Now… To the fun! Where: Premier Event Center/ 1403 Dunn Ave. #20 Jacksonville, Fl 32218 When: Sunday/ June 12, 2022/ 3pm-8pm The following tournaments will be available: Spades (Rules listed below & at event)Dominoes/Bones (Rules listed at event)Bid Whist (Rules listed at event)SPADES RULES 1. Teams consist of two players. 2. Game goes to 350. 3. The highest card flipped over determines first dealer. 4. Dealer must offer the player to his/her right, the opportunity to cut the cards after they are shuffled and before they are dealt. 5. A misdeal can be called for one of the following reasons: Player was not dealt exactly 13 cardsPlayer does not have any spades and does not have any face cards 6. If a team fails to win at least 4 books on the first hand, they automatically lose the game. 7. After the first hand is played, the non-dealing team must bid first. 8. The minimum bid per team is 4. 9.“Blind”, “Nil” or “Nine” bids are not allowed. 10. Table Talk or providing hints to a partner is strictly prohibited. 11. A player cannot lead with a spade until spades have been broken. 12. The highest card is the Big Joker, then the Little Joker, Deuce of Spades, Ace of Spades, etc. 13. The deuce of diamonds and the deuce of hearts are to be removed from the deck before the game begins. 14. Once a card is played, it cannot be picked up. “A Card Laid is A Card Played.” 15. Scoring: 1 book = 10 pts​Bidding and Winning 10 to 13 books = 200 ptsNot making the “O” (a bid of 10 books) = Minus 100 ptsNot reaching a team bid (set) = Minus (number of bidded books) x 10 ptsReneging = Subtract 3 books from the total books won. If the number of books remaining is less than the number of books bidded, the team is set and must score accordingly.“Bags” are not to be included in the scoring. This is a “No Overs” game.
