BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport man has been accused of selling marijuana to high school aged children following an investigation, police said. Fairfield police charged Shawn Belounis, 25, of Bridgeport with selling marijuana in the form of edibles and vape smoking devices to teenagers "with no regard as to the age of the person he was selling the product to," officers said. He's accused of selling the products to teenagers in Fairfield and the surrounding area, and police said some of the products "made these young buyers sick from the inhalation." Belounis was charged with risk of injury to a minor and sale of a controlled substance. Bridgeport police also charged him with possession of a stolen firearm after Fairfield officers found a gun during their search of his home. Belounis was held on a $150,000 court-set bond. The "lengthy investigation" into the marijuana sales was conducted by the Fairfield Police Detective Bureau, officers said.
