Local Ridgefield Resident Christopher Gilland has always wanted to be an author. His debut novel, Passage to War, has just been approved for publication (expected release in winter 2022/2023).  Passage to War (working title), is set in Italy during World War II. Chris wrote the book to explore certain aspects of Italy's unique role in the war, which is often overshadowed.
