Join us for an afternoon jubilee of the Kentucky Derby! Garden Juleps, food, hat contests, games and more! Join us on Satuday, May 7th for our first annual Derby Day party! There will be Garden Juleps (with or without alcohol), Frozen Woodford Lemonades, a hat contest, stick horse races, music, horse shoes, a food truck and more! Come and hang out on our patio, porch or lawn. Bring a blanket or hang out in any of our rooms and patio. Tickets are $30, but you do not need a ticket to attend. Ticket holders receive: o 3 tickets (can be used for food or drink) o 1 entry into Horse Race Raffle Drinks, Food and additional raffle tickets can also be purchased on-site. WHEN: Saturday, May 7th 1-4pm WHERE: Garden Bar PHX, 822 N. 6th Ave. WHO: Anyone who loves Derby Day. While we will have Woodford Reserve Mint Juleps, there will be Juleps with whiskey alternatives and popsicles. PARKING: We recommend people take RideShare or bike over. If driving, we do have plenty of street parking. WHAT TO EXPECT: o Kentucky Derby Screening We will be streaming the Kentucky Derby on our big screen at the bar. o Garden Juleps - One of our signature cocktails … made with Woodford Reserve, demerara, handfuls of mint, chilled and topped with a bouquet of house-grown mint, florals and herb blossoms. (Non-alcoholic variations made with Spiritless Kentucky 75 available.) o Hat Contest! Come and show off your Derby Day hat in style! Wear it for a chance to win a special Kentucky Derby Edition bottle of Woodford Reserve. (Must be 21+ to participate.) o Horse Race Raffle - Ticket holders will receive one ticket to put in the jar of the horse they think will win. (Additional raffle tickets can be purchased for $5. Funds will go towards our non-profit The Cocktail Collaborative.) A winner will be chosen out of the winning horse’s ticket jar. Prize is a Kentucky Derby Edition bottle of Woodford Reserve. (Must be 21+ to participate.) o Stick Horse Races o Games o Porch Concert / Live Music Come hang out in any of our rooms, patio ... or bring a blanket & folding chair and hang out on the lawn.
