PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton Public Schools recently announced the appointment of Sherriese Anderson as an Interim Assistant Principal at Princeton High School starting on Monday.
One of the three assistant principals at the high school is currently on leave and Anderson is expected to continue in this role through the end of the school year.
"I am looking forward to working with Dr. Anderson and I know the PHS staff and students will appreciate her help as we head into the busy final months of the school year," Superintendent Carol Kelley said in a statement.
Anderson has more than 19 years of experience working in education, including 16 years as a School Social Worker. She was Supervisor of Special Services in the Lakewood Public Schools. Anderson also served as Assistant Principal at the Somerset County Educational Services Commission in Bridgewater and as Human Resources Coordinator for the East Brunswick Public Schools.
She holds a B.A. in psychology from Georgian Court University, a Master of Arts in Social Work from Monmouth University, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the Fishler School of Education at Nova Southeastern University.
"As an interim assistant principal, I look forward to working with students," Anderson said in a statement. "I like to see students thriving in a school culture that promotes social and emotional well-being as well as academic achievement. I hope to help foster that climate at Princeton High School."
