Job Description: The Landscape Construction is responsible for installation and management of landscape and hardscape projects. You will be responsible for completing landscape and hardscape installations with great precision and business-minded efficiency. Essential Functions: - Maintains a clean and safe job site at all times following all safety and security procedures.-Direct activities on the job site, include but are not limited to: coordinating workflow, hands-on work, and operating a variety of machinery.- Manage personnel effectively and efficiently.- Communicating production goals (and other items) with crew members, supervisors, and clients.- Train and promote the development of subordinates in the best practices of construction and company standards.- Planning, Procurement and Monitors all tools, equipment and machinery for construction services.- Other duties as required. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: - Supervise and manage landscape crew and subcontractors- Participates in and conducts all job site safety briefings with crew members- Ensures that all crew members utilize all required personal protective equipment-Ensures that all equipment maintenance procedures are followed- Monitors all tools, equipment and machinery for needed maintenance- Ensures that all safety rules and company safety policies are adhered to- Ensures that all work is performed in accordance with design specifications, company standards and state/county/city codes- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis (and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance) - Performs administrative functions pertaining to crew management- Communicates well with all crew members, supervisor and client- Interacts with clientele in order to help ensure job satisfaction- Understands financial aspects of each job assignment- Supervises all crew members during the performance of all assigned work- Leads by example setting a safe but productive work pace- Reports for duty at the designated location on time each day -Strives to improve job skills and develop the potential for upward mobility - Maintain clean and safe job site Education, Training- Must be able to read landscape construction, elevation and irrigation plans and schematics- Have basic plant id knowledge and be familiar with growth habits- Speak English (Spanish speaking a plus)- have superior organization skills- California drivers license and reputable driving record- Proficient heavy equipment operating skills including front end loaders, mini-excavators, and skid steer machinery with various attachments; other construction equipment as needed- Extensive knowledge and experience in installing a variety of hardscape applications. Highly motivated, self-driven individual who is detail orientated- Excellent attention to detail while working in a fun & fast paced environment- Be available all year round Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour Schedule: 40 Hour Work Week - Monday to Friday We follow Covid 19 precautions Work Location: One location
