SIGNING BONUS!!! $500.00 ($150.00 AFTER 30DAYS) (REMAINING $350.00 AFTER 90DAYS) Downey & Sons Property Care has an immediate need for 2 Maintenance techs to join our experienced and committed team. Our work brings us all over the Pacific north west from Pierce County up to Skagit County with most of our work being done in the Seattle Metro Area. We currently service several property management companies that carry portfolios with over 6000 doors each. Along with developers, real estate investors and home owners. Qualification Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative, but not exclusive of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. *High school diploma or GED. *Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. *You must be a self-starter that works well in a group or alone. *At least one year of work experience in property maintenance and repairs, construction or related experience. *Possess and transports own tools and materials needed for job. *Ability to speak, read and write in English. *Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner; both verbally and in writing. *Able to complete company training requirements for this position within pre-determined deadlines and attend other training sessions as required. *If applicable, own or have access to properly insured vehicle for use in business transportation needs; maintain valid driver's license and insurance. Essential Functions: *To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each project satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations. *Represent Downey & Sons Property Care in a positive and professional manner at all times. *Support Service Supervisor and Maintenance Lead to assure that the company’s efforts fully meet and exceed property management, developers & homeowner’s expectations. *Alert supervisor of any potential liabilities or repairs. Identify property problems and repairs needed in the areas of structural, electrical, plumbing, and appliances. *Under the direction of the Service Supervisor or Maintenance Lead assist and respond to all service requests and complete all work orders and apartment turnovers in a timely and professional manner in accordance with Downey & Sons policies and procedures. *Keep accurate records of each project using the companies project management plat form Service Works. *Required to carry a company pager and be on call for emergencies after business hours and on weekends, on a rotating basis with other staff. *Accurately record time worked, along with reporting in advance time off requests. *Maintain constant contact with Service Supervisors and Maintenance Lead in regards to project status. His youngest son started his construction career in 2006 and spent several years working for a decking company where he learned the art of building decks and waterproofing.
