Description
MURRIETA, CA — A very special barbeque drew hundreds of people to Murrieta's Town Square Park on Saturday, and no one left hungry.
The entire community was invited to Murrieta Fire & Rescue's 75th Annual Firefighters BBQ, which took place from 12-6 p.m. at the park.
After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, this year's barbeque was bigger than ever. Guests enjoyed a smoked tri-tip lunch, live music at Murrieta's Town Square Park Amphitheater, a beer and wine garden, a bag-toss tournament, and a vendors' market. Additionally, attendees cheered on fire explorers from across Southern California in the annual Fire Explorers 'Muster' Competition.
The event was also a way for the community to show support for Murrieta Fire & Rescue personnel and the department's 75 years of service.
Patch contributing photographer Joe Fanaselle, who is the sharpshooter on many Murrieta Fire & Rescue calls and events, shared shots he took at Saturday's barbeque. See his photo gallery above.
