Rehoming young German Shorthaired Pointer mix

Description

We are rehoming our beloved German Shorthaired Pointer mix, Osa. She is one year and eight months old and has been with us since she was a puppy. She is a loving, active, playful, and cuddly dog who loves to spend time with her humans and be outside. It breaks our heart to rehome her, but unforeseen life changes necessitate that we do so. Osa gets along great with kids and people. She is best in a house without cats or other small animals due to her hunting instincts. We have another GSP mix who Osa loves, but she tends to be protective of her humans when other dogs get near us. She could get along well in a house with other dogs she knows, but is on edge when she goes to dog parks or places with a lot of other unknown dogs. She is very easily trainable and knows all the basics-- completely potty trained with no issues and responds to sit, down, wait, and come (unless she sees a bunny). We have been working on leash training her and she’s making progress but still has work to do. She has no health issues and is up to date on vaccines. We live in Seattle but are willing to travel to other areas of the state or pacific northwest in order to rehome her with the right family. She needs somewhere with space for her to run and someone who understands the energy level of bird dogs. She is very affectionate and would do best with a person or family that values companionship in a dog. She hasn’t hunted but is very trainable. Small rehoming fee to ensure she goes to a good home. Contact to set up a meet and greet.
