Waterford Woman Dies In Route 9 Crash

HADDAM, CT — Two people died in a one-car crash on Route 9 crash in Haddam Tuesday night, NBC CT reported. Emergency responders were called to the wreck on the exit 8 on-ramp shortly after 10 p.m. A 2011 Honda Accord was traveling north when the driver went through a stop sign at the end of the ramp, went across the intersection, and struck a rock wall on the other side of the road, according to NBC CT. The victims in the crash have been identified as Brittany Cook, 32, of Waterford, and James Reid, 39, of Bloomfield.
