News release from the Village of Skokie: All Skokie residents are invited to participate in this year's Stand Against Racism event on Wednesday, April 27 at 10:30 a.m. in front of Skokie Village Hall, 5127 Oakton Street, to stand and read the Stand Against Racism pledge together. The Village's Human Relations Commission and the Village of Skokie are partnering again with the YWCA Evanston North Shore on this annual event. Join us after the stand on Wednesday, April 27 at 11 a.m. in the first-floor Council Chambers at Skokie Village Hall for an open and educational dialogue led by the YWCA Evanston North Shore Equity Team. Residents not able to attend the actual event have the option to register for the free keynote Stand Against Racism speaker, Loretta J. Ross, hosted by the YWCA Evanston North Shore on Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 12-to 1:30 p.m. on Zoom. Click here to see more information and register.
